Address 21 Beacon St # 1, Boston, MA, 02108-2807 Scollay Square is an era specific restaurant based on the history of Beacon Hill and Boston in its early glory days. This era conjured up thoughts of good times, warm friendships, high spirits and lots of fun. Scollay Square is fondly remembered today for Joe and Nemo's hot dogs, The Howard Theatre, burlesque shows and the career beginnings of many a great comedic talent, such as Milton Berle and Abbot and Costello. If you were to ask someone who patronized the Scollay Square area, their memories would bring an immediate smile to their face. If somebody wanted to have a fun experience or create a lasting memory, this is the place they would go.
Our concept is a restaurant that could be considered upper casual. We want to juxtapose the 1920’s- 1930 building style with the current sophisticated trends of food and wine. This means it falls in between restaurants such as the The Federalist or No. 9 Park and Emmets or The Beantown Pub. It is a place where a person can feel comfortable in a business suit as well as khakis and a button down. It is a place where politicians, business people and students can comfortably enjoy our dining experience.
Scollay Square is a warm inviting environment targeting a menu range of $12-$24 where one could enjoy a Pan Seared Filet Mignon with oven roasted asparagus and crispy potato cake, while savoring a glass of Lalonic Zinfandel; or skillet roasted Mussels with an ice cold Sam Adams. Being seen at the bar will be many guests from Tom Menino to Joe Average, we will cater to all.
