Situated in the lobby of the historic Kendall Hotel, the Black Sheep Restaurant is dedicated to the building’s past as a Victorian firehouse and to fine dining in Cambridge, Mass. The firefighters of Engine 7 considered themselves the “black sheep” of the Cambridge Fire Department, and the Kendall honors their memory with our restaurant. The menu offers daily selections created by our chef using organic and locally grown produce. Our cozy dining room creates a welcoming atmosphere, with a menu offering both classic and innovative American home-style cooking. Our philosophy is simple: purchase the finest and freshest ingredients and let the food absorb them. We offer a full bar selection of locally brewed beers and selected wines from wineries around the United States. The Black Sheep is open daily for breakfast. We are open for lunch and dinner Monday through Friday. Saturday the Black Sheep is open for breakfast and dinner only. Both meat-eaters and vegetarians will find plenty to enjoy.
