since february 20th 2001, fans of lebanese cuisine in atlanta have had a new place to enjoy it. mezza, lebanese for tapas/appetizers, serves a wide variety of authentic lebanese specialties in appetizer size portions. a variety of more than 60 menu items ranging from the traditional dishes, such as hummus, baba ghannouge, falafel and tabbouleh, prepared by executive chef and co-owner liza bitar, to new variations and innovations by co-owners jason and iman bitar. the mother and son team have again joint forces opening their second restaurant, their first being the cedar tree at emory village. in an effort to bring the atlanta restaurant-going community a new, authentic and exiting way of serving lebanese food, a traditional way in which all menu items are served in small portion allowing patrons to sample and share a large variety of dishes. mezza is located in the quiet lavista/oak grove neighborhood in the small and cozy oak grove center (click here for a map). along with the great food, mezza serves a wide selection of wines, imported and domestic and most of all a Lebanese variety. Including chateau kefraya, chateau muzar and chateau ksara.
