What makes the pizzas at Fireside Pies any better than the pizzeria on the corner? It could be the fresh dough, covered in fire-roasted tomato sauce and a four cheese blend of Mozzarella, Fontina, Fontinella and Parmesan Reggiano. Or maybe it the combination of all the right ingredients coming together in just the right way to make a mouth-wateringly great pizza.

I am a pizza purist. Just meat and cheese for me. And Fireside Pies does an excellent job with my favorite, the Triple-Roni. It is loaded with delicious hot gooey cheese and thick slices of pepperoni. Add the Fireside Cheese Salad, with the delicious Roasted Red Pepper Ranchhouse Dressing and a few glasses of their Red Passion Sangria and you have died and gone to pizza heaven. Jimmy's Spicy Italian Sausage Pizza is another great choice. If you prefer something less carnivorous, you will love the Peta Pie, with Sonoma Goat Cheese, portabellas, arugula, roasted red peppers and roasted pinon nuts; or the Straight Pie with sauce and cheese only. The choice is your, either way, you will love it.
It is not just the food that makes Fireside Pies so wonderful, but the casual, warm décor and cozy atmosphere that makes it the perfect place to gather with your family or friends to share a pie and a few drinks. Fireside Pies now has 4 locations. The Inwood and Plano restaurants are more spacious, so waiting for a table is not a problem, but I really love the Henderson location. It is small and always crowded, but the patio is great, even in winter.
