Formerly Xacutti, Grace is run by sommelier and restaurateur Lesle Gibson. The restaurateur and sommelier is back at 503 College Street after having spent the last three years in L.A. catering to a celeb who’s who. Designer Patti Cuccia designed Grace, making it warm and inviting, with rustic wood tables, creamy white leather banquettes and Gibson’s vintage family photos as a sentimental touch. The “modern farmhouse” menu -- a phrase coined by Grace’s exec chef Dustin Gallagher (who spent six years working as Susur Lee’s sous chef) -- is a short list of traditional Sunday dinner faves.
The menu is divided into meat, vegetarian and seafood options. Notable dishes include the BBQ short ribs with coleslaw and roast sweet potatoes, chicken pot pie, homemade gnocchi with porcini and oyster mushrooms and olive oil poached halibut with citrus and fennel salad. The dessert menu will transport diners back to childhood, with homemade cookies (paired with organic milk for dunking), apple pie with cinnamon ice cream and carrot cake with mascarpone ice cream on the list. There’s also an all-Canadian cheese menu and an international and local wine list created by Gibson. A brunch menu with launch this summer. Visit Grace
