There's new life at the old Sit & Spin. Some familiar faces have completely redone the space and started up a non-traditional sports bar called Spitfire. The goal was to have a lounge "where art was as important as the TVs and food was as important as the sports," said co-owner Jerry Everard (of Neumo's, the Rendezvous and Moe's Mo'roc'n Cafe). He's joined at Spitfire by Marcus Charles (of Neumo's, Marcus' Martini Heaven and Bad Juju Lounge) and Jonathan Sposato, who has invested in the Rendezvous and other ventures. Spitfire's chef is James Earl, formerly of BluWater Bistro, who's developed a Latin-influenced menu that's "not ethnic by any means," but heavy on flavor and spices but lighter on the fried stuff. Spitfire is open for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch. The place will occasionally open earlier for those "non-traditional" sports events. Visit Spitfire
